AD Aerospace T-211

The T-211 is a light aircraft designed by John Thorp in 1945 in the United States. It is a low-wing monoplane of conventional layout with fixed tricycle undercarriage and a sliding canopy. The original design, powered by a Lycoming O-145 engine was not successful in the Cessna-dominated aviation market, and was subsequently put on hold until the 1970s, alongside with the T-211 introduced in 1953, which utilised the more powerful Continental O-200-A engine. The T-211 is designed with aspects similar to the Piper Cherokee, which was created in later years with significant input from John Thorp.
