The Advanced Aviation Cobra was developed by Advanced Aviation, based on their Husky model in the 1980s. The aircraft was an ultralight and utterly minimalistic kitplane, marketed for homebuilding. For the design, Advanced Aviation adapted an engine from a snowmobile, and created an open frame with a monocoque wing. The engine and pusher propeller are mounted on this frame as well. A later addition was the Super Cobra, which was a two-seat training variant of the Cobra kitplane.
