Eurocopter As532

The Eurocopter AS532 Cougar (now known as Airbus Helicopters H215M) is a twin-engine, medium-weight, multipurpose helicopter, introduced in 1978. The AS532 was a derivative of the Aérospatiale SA 330 Puma, designed specifically for military operations. The initial, civil model, the AS332 utilised twin Turbomeca Makila 1A1 turboshaft engines, driving a four-bladed main rotor, and five-bladed tail rotor. It was also manufactured with a versatile cabin space, available in several different configurations. From this aircraft, Aérospatiale created the AS532 Cougar variant, which was further extended to allow for additional payload or passenger space.
