Eurocopter Sa319B

The Aérospatiale SA319 Alouette III is a single-engine, light utility helicopter, originally developed by Sud Aviation, and later manufactured by Aérospatiale. Designs for the Alouette III were derived from a previously halted project, designated the SE 3120 Alouette, which was promising, however deemed too complex for the commercial market. A number of prototypes were built based on the project, using Turbomeca’s Artouste engine, with the finalised aircraft first flying in 1959, which then became known as the Alouette III. The SA 319B Alouette III was relatively popular in the years to follow, and was utilised in several roles, such as transport, flight training, air-sea rescue or aerial observation. The aircraft was also easy to modify, and could be fitted with military equipment and light weaponary.
