Piper Super Cub Pa18

The Piper PA-18 Super Cub is a single-engine light utility aircraft. In spite of the name Super Cub, the aircraft was mainly based on the predecessing PA-11, while also deriving some aspects from the original J-3 Cub and Taylor E-2. Aspiring to provide enhanced performance compared to the earlier Cubs, Piper installed an uprated Lycoming engine at 150 hp, later swapped to 160 and 180 hp Lycoming variants, the first aircraft went to production in 1949. Today, most PA-18 Super Cubs are utilised in roles such as bush flying or banner and glider towing.
