The Sikorsky S-76 Spirit is a medium-size, commercial utility helicopter, manufactured by the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation since 1977. The Spirit’s design was created to provide a medium-size corporate transport and oil rig support helicopter, the very first of Sikorsky’s developments that was intended for solely commercial use. The design consists of twin Rolls Royce (Allison) 250-C30S turboshaft engines powering four-bladed main and tail rotors, with a retractable landing gear. The S-76C+ variant was an updated variant with Turbomeca Arriel 2S2 engines, installed with FADEC.
